DevEX for SAP combines the formula development and regulatory compliance strengths of DevEx with recipe development and supply chain integration strengths of SAP.

Working with Selerant, the creators of DevEX, we brought DevEX for SAP to clients as a complementary solution for formula management. DevEX for SAP not only addresses critical white spaces in mySAP PLM, it incorporates functionality that drives best practices.

Key features of DevEX for SAP solution includes:

  • Formulation Development:
    Using proven functionality from DevEX, product developers can use superior bench level tools to create new product formulas. Furthermore, product developers can view past and presents formulas in a side-by-side comparision.
  • Formula Optimizer:
    Developers can select standard or user-definable objective functions for the Formula Optimizer utility. This utility automatically recalculates the formula to optimize it and meet the specified constraints, such as maintaining a consistent color, brix, and granularity.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Fully integrated with Formulation Development, the Regulatory Compliance functionality can trigger automatic compliance alerts, allowing developers the opportunity to immediately address any issues. This includes analysis against many industry specific compliance regulations from Food (allergan, GMO, kosher/halal, etc.) to Fragrances (IFRA, Fragrance Safety Evaluation, etc.) to chemicals (TSCA, EINECS, etc.)
  • Label Creation:
    Leveraging the Regulatory Compliance functionality, DevEX for SAP addresses a common challenge by providing capability to generate Ingredient Line Statements and Nutrition Line Statements/Fact Panels.
  • Recipe Development/Transformation:
    DevEX for SAP provides functionality to create recipes following the ISA S88 recipe standards. As a formula nears commercialization, tighter integration with the Supply Chain is needed. DevEX for SAP delivers that integration with Trials Management capability via SAP RM and enhanced Master Recipe Management functionality to support the challenges of change management from R&D to the plant floor.
  • Collaboration:
    Using powerful capabilities of SAP's cProject Suite's collaboration tool, DevEX for SAP provides a tool to collaborate with external and internal parties and then automatically update data into DevEX for SAP.
