New branding, onsite demos at our tradeshow booth, showcase presence for IPM at the SAP Chemicals pod,
and two feature presentationsall at the biggest annual conferences for the SAP community.
That’s a good amount of buzz for one week, and the back-to-back running of shows gave Linx/AS considerable
momentum coming out the event.
The Linx/AS presence at ASUG exhibitor’s hall (see booth to the left) drew heavy traffic with running
demonstrations of specification management, collaboration, formula management, recipe management,
xPD, xRPM, cProject Suite, EH&S, and more. Access to the Linx/AS SAP systems also allowed for
deep-dive sessions with extra-interested attendees.
This year’s theme for the Chemicals pod at SAPPHIRE (see right) focused on the product development
process with an emphasis on intellectual property (IP) considerations—currently a whitespace in the SAP NPDI business scenario.
Enter Linx/AS Intellectual Property Manager (IPM). Our application was the focal point of the pod, running attendees
through a new product development scenario that integrates xPD, xRPM, and cProject Suite. Linx/AS, a partner in the SAP Industry Value
Network, also manned the pod alongside SAP.
Speaking at both the ASUG Annual Conference and SAPPHIRE, Jeff Frye, president of Linx/AS, tackled the topics of
innovation and the urgency for businesses to bring innovation to market faster. Speaking to ASUG members, Frye put
innovation in perspective, couching it in the strategic roles of Intellectual Capital Management and Intellectual Property
Management. The following day, addressing SAPPHIRE attendees at the Consumer Industries Theater, Frye laid out the
fundamentals of sound strategic PLM and how it supports the New Product Development and Introduction Process (NPDI).
